| | AGENTS OF CHANGE Phil and Jill Jones are founders of Missions Impossible International. They were married in the spring of 2006. Phil Jones, a state of Michigan native, has been serving the poor full time for only 11 years but has been involved in giving back to communities in the United States of America for 29 years in total through organization and personal opportunities. Ordained as a minister through Blood-n-Fire ministries, he has been involved in helping others in Michigan, Colorado, Florida, and Georgia. Phil’s commitment to relationships has spawned creative methods of interacting with those in need. Phil is proud to be the father of 3 children by his deceased wife Jane and a grandfather to 3 grand children! Phil first arrived in Costa Rica in 1996. Jill Jones, a state of Illinois native, is a woman passionate about expressing her want to help the weak, lost and poor through relationship, writing, and creative avenues of reaching people. She works as a nurse in a busy Los Angeles area emergency room on a regular basis and devotes much of her free time to Missions Impossible International, as well as her local community. Pablo and Jessica Garro, are our newest members of MII agents of change!! They had decided to leave their past work of serving through leadership in a local gathering of believers in San Jeronimo, a small town 4 kilometers north of San Jose the capital city of Costa Rica. Pablo served for over 15 years engaged in biblical teaching, activities with youth, overseeing care programs. Pablo comes armed with musical talents of guitar, piano and voice. Jessica brings qualities of a burning desire to serve others, having also poured into the local community in which she had been involved in through teaching and youth programs as well as giving into little children programs. Jessica and Pablo have been married for 8 years. They have 2 children Elizabeth 7 and Judith 8 months. Elizabeth loves to sing. Judith bounces! We at MII were so thrilled when Pablo and Jessica announced they wanted to come and work with us. Pablo had first met MII’s founder Phil Jones when he was singing the blues in an Atlanta, Georgia, nightclub about 12 years earlier. When Phil heard about the Garro family having left their past work to go to the poor, he immediately began to seek them out. Being led by the Holy Spirit, both parties had a reunion in April for a brief moment where an instant connection of relationship was made between MII and the Garros. The Garros bring with them into MII a ministry they have already established to people in a rural area called Tornillal. As of June 2008, the Garros have jumped in with both feet taking a leap of faith, Pablo quit his job and has taken a part-time job so both he and Jessica can work full time with MII. The Garros will be responsible for overseeing MII goals and vision in the Costa Rica work. Maria Abeyta continues to be invaluable as one of our volunteer directors for Missions Impossible International. She is currently a Post Production Supervisor for television and movies, having worked in the Entertainment Industry for more than 10 years. In 2003-2004, Maria was a full-time missionary in Costa Rica for a year, serving poor and displaced Costa Ricans and Nicaraguans alike. Since returning to the States, she has continued to serve on several short-term missionary trips, as well as supporting other missionaries who serve around the world. JOY SHERADEN has been a Volunteer director of MII and has served as a point person in Costa Rica at the MII base of operations. Joy has given her life and made great sacrifices to bring life and hope to those who MII has blessed in these recent years. MII has been affected by her being a part of us in many ways. As of June 08, Joy Sheraden will no longer have an official position in MII. She has decided to be with another nonprofit ministry in Costa Rica. We at MII are sure she will be able to use her warmth and love to continue to care for the people in her new capacities. WE INVITE YOU TO INVESTIGATE HOW YOU CAN JOIN OUR NETWORK OF AGENTS. WE THANK ALL THOSE OTHER INDIVIDUALS, BUSINESS’S, NONPROFITS, ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENTS, AND COUNTRIES FOR WORKING WITH US AS AGENTS OF CHANGE Para espanol oprime aqui | |
